ABOUT "THE LITTLE CARTOONIST"
The Little Cartoonist cartooning program teaches children the fun and useful skill of drawing and writing cartoons. It stimulates children to think out-of-the-box, develops their creativity and communication skills.

Cartooning involves drawing, and of course this skill will be developed over the course of the program.

Cartooning is also about humor and looking at life in a different perspective. Making cartoons about the things they learn in school and at home will provide children with new insight and greater understanding.

Each Little Cartoonist lesson will have a theme for the children to think about and make a cartoon about. This can be curriculum knowledge, general knowledge or life skill subjects.

Each lesson will teach the children a new aspect of drawing, while at the same time, a new element of cartooning is introduced as well.

A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM ARTS & CRAFT
Cartooning develops not just drawing skills, but also writing, general knowledge and communication skills. Not sure how cartooning is different from arts & crafts or drawing?

Spot the difference!

The Little Cartoonist concept was developed by professional cartoonist Iskander Walen and curriculum specialist Nisa Mohamed.
